Terms and conditions for using datasets from VisionHowl
This License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and VisionHowl governing your use of the datasets, images, annotations, and related materials ("Dataset") made available through the VisionHowl platform. By downloading, accessing, or using any Dataset, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
The Standard License grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Dataset for research, educational, and non-commercial purposes.
The Commercial License grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Dataset for commercial purposes, including in products or services.
The Enterprise License offers customized terms for large organizations with specific needs, including potential redistribution rights.
Subject to the terms of this Agreement and your payment of applicable fees, VisionHowl grants you a license to use the Dataset as specified in your selected license type (Standard, Commercial, or Enterprise).

This Agreement is effective until terminated. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Dataset and destroy all copies in your possession.
THE DATASET IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. VISIONHOWL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE DATASET WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT THE OPERATION OF THE DATASET WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL VISIONHOWL BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE DATASET, EVEN IF VISIONHOWL HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VisionHowl, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that such parties may incur as a result of or arising from your violation of this Agreement.
You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations maintained by the U.S. Department of Commerce and trade and economic sanctions maintained by the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of UK, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and VisionHowl regarding the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
Yes, the Standard License allows you to use datasets for research and educational purposes, including academic publications. Just remember to provide proper attribution as specified in Section 3 of this Agreement.
Training a model for commercial use requires a Commercial License. The Standard License only permits training models for non-commercial purposes. If you plan to monetize your model or use it in a commercial product or service, you'll need to purchase a Commercial License.
For Standard and Commercial Licenses, you may share datasets with immediate team members working on the same project, but they must also adhere to the terms of this Agreement. Broader sharing or redistribution is not permitted. Enterprise Licenses may include custom terms for team sharing—contact us for details.
You can upgrade your license at any time by paying the difference in price. The new license terms will apply from the date of upgrade. Please note that downgrading a license is not supported, as you cannot revoke commercial use once it has begun.
Standard and Commercial Licenses are perpetual for the specific version of the dataset you download. However, if the dataset is updated with new data or improvements, accessing these updates may require a license renewal or upgrade, depending on your subscription type.
